The Melbourne Vaccine Education Centre (MVEC) is a digital educational hub providing independent, cutting edge and up-to-date resources on immunisation and vaccination for healthcare professionals and the general public. MVEC features a suite of resources including interactive websites, an online learning course system, podcasts, webinars, digital media features and more.
The content of MVEC reflects a collaboration between immunisation experts (paediatricians and adult physicians), immunisation nurses, infectious disease specialists, allergy specialists and infection control and prevention teams. Information is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure currency and accuracy.
MVEC is a member of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Vaccine Safety Net. All Vaccine Safety Net members are verified by the WHO as a source of reliable and credible vaccine safety information.
MVEC is an initiative with deductible gift recipient status based at the not-for-profit organisation Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), and is affiliated with and collaborates closely with SAEFVIC (Surveillance of Adverse Events Following Vaccination in the Community) and VicSIS (the Victorian Specialist Immunisation Services network).
